COVID-19… COVID-19… Oh, I Swear at this Moment, You Mean Everything
What have we learned about ourselves during the age of COVID-19?
- We don’t “need” cars as much as we thought we did
- Most restaurant food tastes just as good without the atmosphere
- We don’t know jack about homeschooling our children
- Day-drinking
- People don’t know how to work from home if they haven’t worked from home before
- Zoom security sucks
- Zoom security team said, “Hold my beer” and fixed zoom security
- There IS something that can overshadow Trump in the media
- Trump said, “Hold my beer” and freewheels COVID-19 remedies based on his medical knowledge
- Telcom companies did not expect the entire nation to change their geo-location habits all at once – good luck, cell tower coverage and home internet speeds
- The IRS is apparently not looking at your tax returns immediately and in detail as soon as you file them – good luck, Stimulus Checks recipients
- The government apparently can say, “here, just, here… we’ll give you details for now and change the details later…” – good luck, small business owners that accepted PPP and EIDL deals
- It’s fun to be the only car on the road
- Essential workers should get essential pay
- Medical workers have hard jobs
- Ignorant people find the time make the time to still be ignorant in a time of chaos
- Wearing a mask makes you feel like you’re always about to rob a bank
- There is a limit to the amount of time you want to hear the words “Social Distancing”
- Hand sanitizers made with Ethanol smell like burnt tequila
- Stickers on floors have power over people
- Dining 6 feet away from other people makes you feel like you’re an extra in a movie where they’re shooting a scene in a restaurant
- If you’ve been cooped up in your home for months, protesting and looting is a good icebreaker to get back into the swing of things
- Waiting in line just to buy one thing at Home Depot sucks
- When you only get one prom, one college graduation, one wedding… *pouring out a 40*…
